Israel asks Turkey to block Hizb weapons shipments

What are the chances of these "negotiations" being successful? Very good. Turkey has some rather large military contracts with Israel for the upgrading of Turkish military hardware.

ThanhNien News(Vietnam)
Israel wants the Turkish military to impose an air and ground embargo to prevent Iran using Turkish territory to send arms to resupply Hizbollah, a senior Israeli security source said Thursday...

...The sources said Turkey was key because alternative arms shipment routes through Iraq and Jordan have been blocked. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because talks with the Turkish government were just getting under way...

...Israeli officials have estimated that between 75 percent and 80 percent of Hizbollah's long-range rockets have been destroyed, though some Western diplomats were sceptical of the initial Israeli damage assessments...

Turkey is an unreliable ally

With the Iranian/Syrian situation being what it is, Turkey is real keen for these hardware upgrades though.

They're basically running mid-1960's level US armor and need the gun, electronics, comms upgrade Israel has contracted for.

I don't think the Turks would risk their Nato umbrella for the sake of Iran or the Hizb. That Nato affiliation is a the proverbial "big stick" that keeps the loons at bay.
