Barring Papal decrees (even that might not work) it looks like the Red Sox have imploded in spectacular fashion clearing the road for the "evil" Yankees. Lets face it -- the Red Sox are classless. Always have been, always will be.
Even the addition of Lowell(the best fielding 3rd baseman in the history of the game) and Alex(arguably the best fielding shortstop in MLB today) on the left side wasn't enough to jumpstart this festering corpse.

OTOH, the Marlins, are doing OK and might, if all the planets align, get the NL wildcard.
Another Fish vs Evil Empire matchup in the World Series? Its not out of the question anymore.
