DES MOINES, Iowa A Democratic Congressional candidate from Iowa is canceling a campaign event later this week with Senator John Kerry.
Brucy Braley says Kerry's recent comments about the Iraq war were inappropriate.
Braley is running against Republican Mike Whalen in Iowa's First District congressional race. It's a contest considered to be one of the most competitive House races in the country.
Braley's decision to distance himself from Kerry came as a furor grew from comments Kerry made about the Iraq War during a campaign stop in California on Monday...

In related news... At the urging of Senator Kerry, DoD just announced that starting 15JAN07 all MRE's will ship with either a shiny piece of aluminum foil, finger paints, or sidewalk chalk to provide entertainment for the troops after each meal.
Senator Kerry's suggestion that training manuals include Sesame Street characters as aids for increasing troop attention span is under consideration and expected to be adopted shortly as well.

This is the same guy who wanted more nuance in international relations.
Kerry is so tonedeaf and naive politically, characters like Chirac would have rolled him like a Bowery bum.
He's a putz. That You Tube is pretty damn funny. The soldiers are hilarious! Update 5, meh. End on a high note, as Seinfeld would say.
I can't believe John Kerry will cost me another election. He really needs to just give up.
