Suzanne Goldenberg told me: "I remain confident that the story was true." She points out that she and Sean Smith reported the story first hand and independently and did not rely on what purported to be amateur video footage of the incident...

OK, here's the deal. Someone's (detached) junk was apparently discovered in Baltimore MD. Three years after its introduction, the Israeli Python 5 air-to-air missile finally got its first combat kill. This happened on August 7th, when an Israeli F-16 was sent to shoot down a Hizbollah UAV off the coast. The target was an Iranian Ababil. This is a 183 pound UAV with a ten foot wing span, a payload of about 80 pounds, a cruising speed of 290 kilometers an hour and an endurance of 90 minutes. Using GPS guidance, it could deliver about 60 pounds of explosives to a prominent Israeli government building in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. The Ababil normally carries a variety of day and night still and video cameras. Hizbollah is now using the Ababil as a cruise missile...

It is truly difficult to imagine a group of people as consistently and collectively moronic as the editorial staff at the NYT, yet we are presented with evidence of their existence every single day.

The Bolshevik idiots at the NYT continue to fail to comprehend that Iran and the DPRK are two completely different situations. Iran's leadership OTOH, is "real deal" weapons grade crazy. They don't have any particular need to extort the west for fat aid packages because they have oil. They have no particular motivation to "negotiate" about their nuclear aims because Iran has more than enough domestic uranium reserves to do pretty much whatever it wants regarding nuclear power and weapons using those same domestic resources.

So what can the west possibly offer Iran in "negotiations" as "real rewards for good behavior"? Their mindspace is different from the wests. They want to erase Israel, nominally for the usual tired old "arab street" reasons, but really because they want to be the major power in the region now that Saddam is in the klink. They see erasing Israel as a way to greatly enhanced prestige within the middle east and Islamic world. They're just too damn crazy to realize that path is a suicide pact though.

So, the DPRK isn't "crazy" per se, rather crazy like a fox looking to raid the west's aid chicken coop. Iranian leadership however is truly crazy, and as such not inclined to serious "negotiation" anymore than Hitler was with all his bogus "non-aggression pacts".

Hobby shops carry silicone fuel lines for model airplanes. That stuff is capable of handling molten solder and lead. I won't admit say I've tried it, but trust me I know it works.


Note that this stuff can be "pumped". We all know certain judges who would be keenly interested in this aspect. For entertaining terrorist "guests" this pump quality is also critical. Suppose you need to handle say a 30lb woodchuck? That's going to require a lot of lube. You're going to have to pre-lube and that means you're gonna need a pump because nobody is going to pre-lube their "guest" manually (unless their name is perhaps Andrew Sullivan, but he freaks out over this sort of entertainment for terrorists).

Enviro-safe is also a critical quality. We want to be "green" about this whole thing right? Safe for kids, nothing toxic, good housekeeping seal of approval, Sierra Club endorsed, and all that sort of thing right? Sure we do. Why hasn't the efforts of the British government borne fruit amongst the nation's Muslims? Simple.

There are a number of reasons for the Muslim non-response to the overtures of the infidel government of the U.K.:

1. Muslims have no respect for the rule of law in host countries outside the Islamic world; they're taught to despise 'man-made' law and that the only law under which they must live is the vile shariah law.
2. Britanistan's Muslims are in sufficient number to flex their muscles and make all manner of demands without giving anything in return; however, the meeting of these demands they regard as a sign of weakness. If the British government had crushed them in the manner of Saddam, they would have been more responsive.
3. It is quite likely that they regard the government's overtures and monetary gifts as jizya (which according to their shariah law is what dhimmis must pay to superior Muslims if they wish to continue to live); if jizya, then, no response is required on their part because the superior does not thank the inferior, to their minds.
4. It is quite likely given their increased numbers and the increased political correctness and dhimmitude of many British, Muslims are regarding British as supplicants soliciting their favors. No amount of favors of money will deflect them from their aim, which is the sixth point, and will only confirm them in their opinion of British weakness and ripeness for becoming part of the Islamic caliphate. Since Britain is a weak horse, why bother responding?
5) Muslims do not regard themselves as citizens of Britain or any non-Islamic country, for the most part, but as people divorced from the state and belonging a transglobal Islamic community. Therefore, there is no allegiance to Britain, and no overtures made to them will create any.
5. Finally, Muslims want Britan to truly become Britanistan, an Islamic state. There's nothing the Christian called Tony Blair or any of the secularist Laborites can offer Muslims that will deter them from that goal.
6. They don't wish to dialogue, respond, or negotiate; they wish to dominate.
