General Vernon Chong's letter to the senator about WOT

Too long to reproduce here. Go READ IT ALL.

The general hits a home run. He "gets it".

Only problem is, Chong didn't write it - it's a letter written by a lawyer to his sons.

So what? So the misattribution of the letter to a military commander lends it a level of credibility that it might not have - especially among connies - if it had truthfully been attributed to a lawyer.

Check snopes.com for further details . . .

I don't really care who wrote it; it's so horribly true! The whole country needs to read this and realize why it is so important that we win this war on terrorism. It doesn't matter what political party is in the White House or which party rules the House or the Senate. We must see this as a UNITED States fight for our freedom and get involved.

I don't care who wrote it either. To Me it is a wake up call that anything can happen at any moment and we have to be prepared. We have to stand together and learn to do w/o some freedoms and stand together or we will lose all our freedoms and fall apart. I rather give up some things now than give it all up later. I am ready to do my part whatever I am asked and will do it in the name of our Father, God. Amen to God and may he bless America.

How do we know that what snopes has is accurate? I, for one, do not believe that snopes is the final authority on anything.
