Pelosi tacitly backs Iran's hostage play

A statement solidarity with the Brits wouldn't "pressure Tehran" any more than they're already being pressured (which is to say not at all), but would let the crazy mullahs know its not just the Brits they'll have to deal with should push come to shove.

I agree that it’s unsettling that your Democratic party is acting this oddly noncommittal way.

However, our own government here in Britain has been even worse! American support is a great thing to have, but we should be taking care of our own. And we’re not. In fact, some of our commentators (including ex-Monty Python funnyman Terry Jones) have been at the forefront of the criticism of the British position.

Give this crop of democrats a few more months Elliot. They've only been in power a few months and just feeling their way.

The scope and magnitude of their weakness and fecklessness has yet to be truly tested.

Pelosi's betrayal here is just like the warmup tosses before a game.

We have seen this act for thirty years. Democrats always side with American enemies.
